Day 63: Protection

Another bright sun-shiny day. So I took the opportunity to use the light and shoot some images of bubble wrap! As you do. I had a real dilemma when choosing the final image for today’s shot. I had two that were in my opinion worth using. This one I went with and the Out-Take you can see below. I went with the B&W because I preferred the composition. I do love the colours in the other one though! Arrgh! Did I make the right choice? Anyway this shot was processed with one of the Silver Efex Pro “Push Process” pre-sets.

Images Viewed: I found a new site! Its called pictory. Check it out there are some great images on there.

Other Inspiration:
I got up early to take the wife to the station. Not by my own choice I was woken by her hitting me over the head with her phone. This would usually put me in a bad mood but I let it slide today as she is in a world of stress. The extra hours however have been good. I think I’m gonna try and get up earlier form now on.

Project 365 Day 63: Protectionvery cool – wouldn’t have thought to shoot bubble rap – might have to give it a try now! I like both your images – I’m a little torn between them. I like the DOF treatment you gave the other one. Both are very interesting.

Project 365 Day 63: ProtectionI hate getting up early too…and yes you do achieve more if you do…but I like my lie-ins…added to the fact I don’t go to bed till v late!

Project 365 Day 63: ProtectionAt first glance I thought that was going to be another ’stuck in the office’ shot! Amazingly attractive image of something so dull!

Project 365 Day 63: ProtectionLovely processing on this.
I thought they were little glass beads from the thumbnail and for what it’s worth I think you chose the right shot for your 365.

Project 365 Day 63: Protectioninteresting shot! as said, I wouldn’t have thought about photographing bubble wrap. I like better the one you’ve used for the project, the DoF is much more interesting, and with the processing it looks really cool!

Project 365 Day 63: ProtectionI agree, I like the one you chose. I like the higher contrast and shine as well as the closer perspective.

Project 365 Day 63: ProtectionBubble wrap, the things we come up with to photograph, what a great idea though, with the repeating pattern, nice focus on just a small point.

Project 365 Day 63: ProtectionWhat a difference the processing made on this one. That said, you had such tremedous vision to see the potential for the bubble wrap. And how much fun setting it up (pop, pop pop).

Project 365 Day 63: ProtectionYou’ve got got control man, I would have popped them all the second I touched the thing! You know, the way where you twist and pop a bunch at once multiple times haha
