I have been struggling with this impressive blister since Sunday. It was formed in the line of duty stretching inner-tubes onto tilt lenses! Hot rubber and friction do not mix. It means that I wont be making any new ones until I get back from Kenya. So there will be a couple of disappointed twitter pals. You have no idea how hard it was to take this photo. Have you ever tried taking a picture of your own thumb? Hmm?

Sorry to hear of the injury, probably wrong of me to be glad I got in there before this, as I love the tilt shift I got from you! Will have to speak to you in the new year about getting a 28mm one I think…..
Anyway, hope this improves before your trip fella

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/devilfishmark] Strangely there is an absence of pain. In fact there is no sensation at all It feels like my thumb is wrapped in a plaster! So glad you are liking the lens. I’ll be back in business in the new year. Gimmie a shout then and I’ll tell you what I’ve got in.
What is a tilt lens? and why do you put inner tubes on them (I’m guessing around the perimeter)?
As for the tilt lens this is one:
