Day 340: Let’s Cook

I found out today that I didn’t get the job I was up for at work. Ah well it wasn’t a pay raise and it was harder work! But it would have given me some much needed technical experience. Its a bit bittersweet in that respect. Anyway the clock is ticking on the Kenya trip only 8 days to go! My B&W films arrived today too, wondering what the deal is with airport X-ray scanners and film now. Anyway this is some of the herbs in our kitchen, an afterthought of a shot probably over-processed.

As for film in scanners, I have been told (and seen numerous posters at airports informing me) that the xray scanners they use now do absolutely nothing to undeveloped film – but if you’re worried you can simply ask them to swab your film canisters rather than scanning them – might slow you down a touch, but it’s entirely your call…

Project 365 Day 340: LetThat is really too bad about the job…a vacation will help you forget about it! I am a firm believer that there may not be any rhyme or reason to what happens, but there is always something better around the corner :-)
    Great image!
