Day 3: Code

Typical I spent about an hour looking for this shot and now there is amazing magic hour light streaming into my office and everything looks beautiful! Oh well this will have to do. I wasn’t sure if this shot was too abstract or not I nearly binned it for another idea I had. Its a barcode/QR code from an envelope that was lying around on one of my colleague’s desks. The only processing I did was to convert it to grayscale with Adobe Lightroom and apply some Tone curve to it. The depth of field comes from it being taken at 1:1 macro with my 50mm Minolta macro lens. Like I said I love/hate this and could do with some other opinions tell me what you think.

Manual Page Read: I’m at work right now but I will read a page when I get home and update this post then. Page 143 – Printing images by connecting the camera to a Pictbridge compliant printer.

Images Viewed: The various 365 pages on flickr continue to inspire me. I don’t feel the need to look anywhere else! I do have a lot of photography blogs in my Google reader though. One that always stands out is Petapixel.

Other Inspiration:
Walking across the frozen park today listening to “The Model” by Kraftwerk made me stop and take in my freezing surroundings.

I like it, the grey scale makes it really stand out. It's abstract that's for sure but it makes you think. Until I read what it was my brain was racing with all things it could be.!! Good shot
